Bad Romeo By Leisa Reyven

Rate:4.2 ⭐‌⭐⭐⭐

My Review

"I never realized how much it hurt to not be with you until I saw you again, and the pain went away"

When I started reading this I Couldn't put this book down. I have to know what happened to our starcrossed lovers Ethan And Cassie. While This book had few things i didn’t like but i still enjoyed this book and the mindblowing chemistry between these two character's.First I found Ethan a major asshole but the character development he go through made me liked him eventually.

This story alternates between last and present. In the past, You learn all about Ethan and Cassie turbulent relationship. what they go through, how Ethan Broke Cassie's heart twice. That seriously made me so sad for Cassie. I can't seriously blane Ethan. He has major Insecuritys cause of his past. But I really wanted Cassie to gave him a peace of her mind.

I love that this novel is almost like two stories entwined. One is the coming-of-age story where these two people meet and fall in love. Their time together is filled with heartache and strthe. The second part of the story is an emotional rollercoaster with regret and longing.

What I really liked about this book was the theater setting and the insane angst factor. Cassie and Ethan’s undeniable chemistry was so palpable and it made me want to keep reading. How Ethan Changed Because He wants Cassie in her life again. I also loved the witty, effortless dialogue. It was easy to read.

A second chance romance is good when they have enough reason to give him/her a chance. I also love romances where the couple have significant history and that is definitely the case in Bad Romeo. I was completely lost in their love story, enveloped in both the present and past storylines.

This is that type of book. Lisa Jewell Never dissapoints me. Her writing has me intrigued from the very first page. It was certainly a book that kept me turning the pages.

'Where did you come from?'

'I have no idea.'

Lily  Moves to england when she got married with a man she just knew for few weeks. Untill one day he doesn’t return home.

Alice a single mum to three kids, sees a man sat on the beach in the freezing rain without a jacket. Later that day she sees him still sat there soaked through. Her mothering instinct kicks in and she takes him an old jacket, and finds that he has lost his memory and is frightened and confused. Despite her instincts, she trusts him and invites him to spend the night in her converted shed at the end of her garden until they can contact the police. But does she really know she can trust him? Who is he? Where has he come from? And what dark secrets has he forgotten?

Three lives that will become entwined in this book two in a horrible way. Some very fine writing here. Its tells from three perspective. This outstanding and suspenseful novel that engrossed  me in this book still the end of the page. On some part I was holding my breath, cried even and hoping answers will be found, hold him accountable. My personal feelings was such a mess at that stage, I really wanted to reach out kill someone in this book.

This is a really clever mystery and psychological thriller, but, despite the dark events that unfold, make me so angry that I was mad at the whole world. I hated putting this one down when I ran out of time to read, and I couldn't wait to read it again. Each and every character is intriguing and well-developed, and my heart wrenched and feel a stabbing  pain for some of the characters a this point. I can't tell  all the details  but you have to find out. Don't be so sure there are so many twists and turns this novel have that will prove you wrong. This is my favourite novel by this author so far.A very likeable book that I recommend to anyone that enjoys women's fiction and finds the idea of the plot appealing

You deserve each other By Sarah Hogle

Rate: 3.9 🌟

Naomi and Nicholas is engaged. They were happy at first but when Nicholas meddling mother started taking over their wedding plans and Naomi have no say in it. She started to bottled up her feelings for Nicholas. Soon Both Naomi and Nicholas realise they both have been unhappy. Naomi want out of this marriage. But there's a catch if Naomi end their relationship she be held responsible for putting an end to the relationship. Especially if it means paying for the whole blasted wedding, no details of which she chose.

My thoughts:

At first when I started reading I didn't know what to expect. It has A rough start from the first chapter. Though It was hilarious and entertaining . I deeply love enemies to lovers romance books. I thought this book would be another version of 'The hating game' so I eagerly pick this out.And I can admit that. I didn't like either of Naomi and Nicholas characters at first. They drove both myself and each other insane. I easily get frustrated about this book. Found myself irritated by Naomi so much. But then i got to know where she is coming from. They fall out in love because of miscommunication. They didn’t have each other back at times. When the last straw falls, they realize  they both had been pretending to love each other in front of other people, but despise each other when they are alone. To get revenge on each other they started to prank each other and do terrible things. But luckily the story progressed  and I started laughing again.

My engagement to Nicholas Rose is a game of chicken.’

But there was also the underlying romance that grew throughout it all.

Naomi and Nicholas were great to read about. I loved their antics, but more than that I loved the complexity of their relationships. They love so much about each other and yet don't actually like who the other is, or rather, who the other has become over time. They are trying to figure themselves, and each other and that was the best part of the book. This whole ‘refalling back in love’ theme is get me very intrigued. I want to read more this trope book. My next favourite in this book is Nicholas .Nick’s emotional honesty and depth. It was amazing to have an MC in this book who not only understood what he needed from the relationship, but was able to clearly state it to his partner and talking about their issues. I am clearly fall in love with him in this book.

But you still haven't said you love me."

"That's not true.

"You haven't."

"I say it all the time, I just say it very, very quietly. I tell you when you're in another room, or right after we hang up the phone. I tell you when you've got headphones on. I say it after you shut the door behind you. I say it in my head every time you look at me. "

I love  how Naomi and Nicholas rekindled their friendship and saw what they had was worth sacrifice and fighting for.

All of that said, if you like great and hilarious, well written contemporary romances and  like Sophie kinsella book then this is the book for you.

I Let You Go By Claire Mackintosh

Rate 4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫

"You can tell a lot about people by the way they treat animals."

It was a really good thriller with a shocking mystery.I haven't been this caught off guard by a thriller in a while.it is full of incredibly well crafted twists.
A hit and run accident of a 5 year old boy named Jacob who lets go of his mother's hand for a brief moment and is killed. Jenna Gray's life is forever changed and runs away immediately following the accident to escape the talk of the town.

All I will say is that the plot is cleverly written, with twists that is unimaginable and plenty more surprise moments along the way. It has many tense, thrilling, terrible moments, you'll never see coming. Some parts really made me sick to my stomach. It has vivid description of domestic violence. I couldn't fathom all of that coming. If i knew that in this book there was big part would be domestic violence I wouldn't have picked this book. That was totally unnecessary how Jenna get beaten by his husband but still not leave him.It made me judge her negatively. Why is she still there? And when he just punched her in the stomach while she was pregnant and lost the baby.God, That really took the cake. You'll think she learned her lesson? No she still with him and I found the female protagonist very weak just for that. Yes, she had her lesson but not strong enough to still stay with her abusive husband. I found myself not totally engrossed untill 'part two'. But once I hit that mark i couldn't put it down.I would have preferred the ending to be a little different but overall this book is very thrilling, shocking and with many twists and turns. I can't wait to read more of her books.
